Qualified Panel Beater
JOB TITLE: Panel Beater
WORK LOCATION: Vansh Smash Repairs, Rydalmere.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time position
SALARY: Above Award wage. Salary will be confirmed upon job interview completion.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspecting and assessing vehicles for damage.
- Apply original equipment manufacturer repair procedures
- Producing quotes for prospective clients and insurers. Filling out insurance paperwork.
- Removing damaged panels from vehicles. Removing upholstery and accessories
- Repair vehicle body misalignment
- Hammering dents out of panels.
- Straightening out damaged vehicles using hydraulic equipment and pneumatic saws
- Replacing crumpled panels with new panels.
- Filling holes and dents with plastic-fill, shaping and sanding into a smooth surface.
- Refitting locks, trim and bumpers. Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles.
- Welding Cutting and joining new and existing parts together by using Welding equipment.
- Spray-painting panels with paint to match the vehicle colour
- Experience working with a wide range of motor vehicles
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST be a qualified Panel Beater of Auto Technician with at least 3-4 years of qualified work
experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Excellent technical repair skills and proficiency in all repair work
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent Organisational skills
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a busy service centre
- Be reliable and have a good work ethic
- Techniques for welding, grinding, machining and soldering.
- Physically able to operate machinery and tools as required
- Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology to vehicles
AUSTRALIAN RECOGNISED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or
- Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology

JOB INFORMATION
Job Title: Mercedes-Benz certified Systems and Diagnostic Technician Activities / Responsibilities:
- Carrying out diagnostics on all vehicles across the Mercedes-Benz Car and Vanranges
- Liaising with Mercedes-Benz Australia technical department for support on technical issues
- Identifying and repairing technical issues
- Correctly completing all work as per the Manufacturer Repair Times Guide and PeterWarren Retail standards
- Road testing vehicles
- Conducting quality checks on all work to help ensure vehicles are fixed first Visit
- Completing Mercedes-Benz training as required
- Guide and mentor workshop staff
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate MUST be a Mercedes-Benz certified Motor Mechanic OR Auto Technician with at least 5 years of qualified work experience as a Motor Mechanic or an Auto Technician.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician in a Mercedes-Benz authorised dealership within the last 5 years.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Excellent diagnostic skills and proficiency in all repair work on Mercedes-Benz vehicles
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent Organisational skills
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a busy service centre
- Be reliable and have a good work ethically
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or Automotive Technician (Light weight vehicle mechanic), Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis,Diploma of Automotive Technology.
- Training Certificate/s from Mercedes-Benz (Mercedes-Benz certified) Service Technician, Mercedes-Benz Certified Diagnostic Technician.
